SCT gives details of the project of construction of the new airport international in the city of Mexico (NAICM).

Mexico City, May 4, 2015.-The new international airport of Mexico City (NAICM), will be a global benchmark in sustainability. Its infrastructure has referred to works that will triple the capacity of storing water of 13 to 38 million cubic meters.

The NAICM strengthens Mexico as a high value-added logistics platform, which seeks to attract investment, tourism, services, economic activities and especially employment generation.

The rivers in the East are rectifying to improve the conduct of runoff on the track.

The new airport will create about 160 thousand jobs during its construction and already in operation will have created 450 thousand. Eventually, the area of the project will feature schools of education, such as the Metropolitan University of Aeronautics and aviation.

The head of the Secretariat of communications and transport, Gerardo Ruiz Esparza, said; the new airport will ensure optimal connectivity as well as the mobility of persons; also energy consumption reduced by 40%.

The NAICM will be a global benchmark in sustainability and will support areas devoid of vegetation through a program of ecological restoration.

The SCT explained that waterworks will triple the capacity of storing water from 13 to 38 million cubic meters and will rectify the rivers of the East to improve the conduct of the runoff.

 In the session of works of the new airport of the city of Mexico, Ruiz Esparza explained that you will ensure optimal connectivity as well as the mobility of people in addition to reduce energy consumption by 40%.

The federal official made it clear that the targets after the new airport is the creation of permanent jobs; boost economic activities as well as development and impulse is green areas and to balance the growth of areas.

 NAICM will operate in 2021, generating a flow of 50 million annual passengers.

Awasome work will cost 169 billion pesos, of which 58% will be financed with public resources and will have duration of 4 years the construction of the new air terminal.
