The president Enrique Peña Nieto emphasized the contribution of the naval industry in our country.
Ensenada Baja California, June 3, 2015.- During the celebration for the Mexican Navy Day, the president Enrique Peña Nieto emphasized the contribution of the naval industry in our country, also said that Mexico is considered a logistic shore with global capacity because their privileged placement that helps considerably the foreign trade. Peña Nieto also announced the creation of new projects to work for the optimization of the industry in Mexico.
During the presidential speech Peña Said: “Our coasts represent the world doors, a bridge to connecting the global markets, our strategically placement puts Mexico in the top of world trading industry. The celebration took place in the Mexican port of Ensenada, considered a strategic trade point of the northwest.
Peña said that Mexico is linked by their oceans with more than 130 countries around the world, situation that affects positively on the economy and the trade, it`s important to know that almost the 80% of merchandize is moved by ships in México.
As part of the projects for the industry the president reminded the opening of the commercial sea route between Manzanillo, Mazatlan and Guaymas that made more efficient the custom services using new technologies.
Another project emphasized by the president Peña was the modernization of the port facilities in Campeche, Matamoros y Altamira, who is considered one of the most important arriving points of merchandize in the Gulf of Mexico and the first Latin-American port available to assemble oil platforms.
Joining to the sea industry, another fact announced by the president was the 9% growing of the fishing industry on the last year, growing that was possible with the support of the Mexican fishing office (Conapesca) that keeps developing projects for the industry like the modernization of boats and additional supports to the fishermen’s in a bad situation.
